this 5K focuses on corporate team competition, individuals are encouraged
to run or walk. This year's event benefits Special Olympics of
Connecticut. After the race enjoy a complimentary cookout
at live music.

Entry Fee Waiver -
Individuals who raise $100 or more for Special Olympics CT
receive complimentary race entry.

Awards given to the largest team & team and individual that
raises the most money. The three fastest men and women
receive awards in each each of the following age groups.
Age Groups are Men & Women, 12
& under, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80+.
Awards are also given to the fastest CEO/President (in three
company size categories), and to the fastest wheelchair & SOCT
Athletes.

Corporate Team Scoring &
Awards:
Participants scored on a team basis in the following team divisions: Men's
Open, Men's Masters (all members 40 and older), Women's Open, Women's
Masters (all members 40 and older).
Teams can be of unlimited size - three
fastest runners determine cumulative time. Awards given to the three fastest
finishers on each of the top three teams in each division.

Corporate Team Competition
Qualifications & Procedures
- All entry forms must be completed and each participant must sign a race waiver.
- To compete in the team competition, all members must be employed by the organization for
at least 1 month prior to the race (July 12, 2010 for Corporate 5K).
-
Applications received August 6, 2010 are guaranteed
inclusion in team scoring.
- Teams can be of unlimited size, but must
have a minimum of 3 members. Companies may enter an unlimited number of teams
& participants.
- All team entries should be sent together,
with a roster for each team.
Roster must include the name of all team members, the team captain's
address and all team members' day and evening phone numbers.
- There can be no guarantee of a team entry if team entries are received individually or
in groups other than on a complete team roster.
- Mixed teams will compete in the men's open category.
- The exchange of race chips or bibs is not permitted.

Friday, August
6 - Last day for
guaranteed team inclusion.
Wednesday, August 11 - Last day to
register on line -
closes at noon.
Thursday, August 12 - Bushnell Park
4:30 pm - 6:15 pm
- Packet pick-up and registration.
6:20 pm - 5K Race starts.
6:45 pm - 8:00 pm - Post race celebration.
7:45 pm - Individual awards followed by team awards.

From the East: Interstate I-84 west to Exit 48
(Asylum Avenue). Turn left off exit. Take 1st right after underpass onto
Ford Street. Bushnell Park is on your right.
From the West: Interstate I-84 east to Exit 48a (Asylum Avenue). Turn right
off exit. Take next right onto Ford Street. Bushnell Park is on your right.
From the South: Interstate I-91 north to Exit 29a (Capitol Area). Stay
straight until Bushnell Park.
From the North: Interstate I-91 south to Exit 29a (Capitol Area). Stay
straight until Bushnell Park.
