This unique family oriented festival and road race are sponsored by Citizens Bank, City of Middletown, The Middlesex County Chamber of Commerce, Downtown Business District, YMCA and Oddfellows Playhouse. The festival features Oddfellows street performers, ARTFARM’s Circus for a Fragile Planet, moonwalk and giant slide. Throughout the event, music by Run for Cover and dancing entertainment will be provided.

6:30 p.m. ½ Mile Kid’s Fun Run
6:45 p.m. 5K Road Race
7:00-8:00 p.m. Post Race Celebration

Tech T-shirts to the first 500 5K entrants. The first 150 participants in the Kids Run will receive cotton shirts. Showers will be available after the race at the Middlesex County YMCA. All participants are invited to enjoy our post race snack, live music, street performers and awards ceremony.
Compete as an individual or as part of our Team Competition!
Pratt & Whitney Corporate Team Competition: Winning team gets to display the Pratt & Whitney Team trophy until next year’s race. Teams can be of unlimited size – three fastest runners determine team time. Also award to largest team. Team members must work for the organization. Applications must be sent together with a team roster.
Urgent Ortho Healthcare Challenge: Award for largest team, fastest team and individual participant. All entrants must work in the Healthcare industry. Teams can be of unlimited size – three fastest runners determine team time.
Legal Challenge: Award for fastest courthouse team and individual participant. All entrants must be an employee of one of the district courthouses in the challenge. Teams are already pre-set.
School Team Club: All entrants must attend the same school. Teams can be of unlimited size – three fastest runners determine team time. Awards to fastest team and largest team in Middle School and High School divisions.
Amazing Grace Food Pantry: We ask our race participants to consider bringing non-perishable food items to support Middletown’s Amazing Grace Food Pantry, which serves more than 1,000 local families each month.
Kids Race Kids can join the fun with this half-mile run on Main St. All finishers receive ribbons. Entry fees for Middletown residents in the Kids Race are waived courtesy of the Middletown Federation of Teachers. All children who enter will receive a complimentary single use pass for Kidcity Children’s Museum. Awards Top three male & female finishers: 12 & under, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+ and Wheelchair. The first male & female Middletown resident also receive awards. All finishers of the Kids Run receive ribbons.
Race Benefits Receiving donations from recent races were the Northern Middlesex Habitat for Humanity, the YMCA of Northern Middlesex County, Middlesex Chamber of Commerce Mentor Program, Amazing Grace Food pantry, Art Farm, Middlesex Bike Club, Kiwanis Club, Oddfellows Playhouse, and Warm the Children.
