Abilities Without Boundaries (AWB) is a nonprofit organization providing opportunities in the community through employment and social experiences for people with developmental disabilities. AWB values advocacy for clients, caregivers and families; inclusion within the communities served; and respect and integrity for all individuals.

AWB offers diverse and highly enriched programming for individuals with developmental disabilities throughout Connecticut. Our clients are employed in a wide scope of jobs in the communities we serve. And we continue to look for new and innovative ideas that will allow our clients to share their talents with the greater community. In collaboration with employment services, AWB offers day programs focusing on enhancing daily living activities, gross and fine motor skills, and social and emotional interactions. Our committed staff work to arrange a variety of activities to address each of these areas. In addition to our programming, AWB is a strong advocate for the rights of people with developmental disabilities and continues to spread awareness about the abilities of people with developmental disabilities throughout Connecticut’s communities.

Since 1978, AWB has helped countless individuals with developmental disabilities lead a more productive and fulfilling life. In 2011, AWB changed our name from Cheshire Occupational & Career Opportunities (COCO) to Abilities Without Boundaries and continued expanding our impact throughout the state. What began with a few concerned parents has blossomed into an organization with almost 50 employees who all share a deep and profound respect for the individuals we serve. For more than 30 years, we have been helping to make a difference throughout Connecticut.
