Project Purple Steps for a Cure

Join Project Purple as we run and walk towards a world without Pancreatic Cancer. We encourage you to participate in the 5K or 1 Mile Walk  through scenic Norwalk, CT. Both events travel through Calf Pasture Beach Park and through waterfront neighborhoods.

VIRTUAL 5K OPTION! Can’t make race day? Not to worry. Sign up for the virtual run, log your own miles and we’ll send you an event t-shirt (if registered by May 1) and a race bib. Email with questions on the virtual run.


7:00 a.m. Packet pick-up & raceday registration

8:30 a.m. 5K & 1 Mile Walk Start

9:00 a.m. Post-Race Party!

9:30 a.m. Awards Ceremony

AWARDS: Prizes are awarded to the top overall male & female runners and top 3 in each of the following age groups: Men & Women 12 & under, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+. Top individual and team fundraisers receive awards! The event offers awards for top CrossFit and Police/Fire division winners.

SHIRTS: Cotton shirts to first 200 entrants! Sizes are first come, first serve.

PARKING: Ample parking is available at Calf Pasture Beach Park, Norwalk, CT 06851. Entrance into the park is free of cost.

POST-RACE PARTY: Hang around after the race for a post-race beach party! The party includes music, food, refreshments, awards ceremony & more!

*Please note walkers are not timed.


Your participation supports Project Purple national Patient Aid Program and funding critical research towards a cure. We have become the nations leading provider of patient aid to so many families fighting pancreatic cancer. This run and walk is in memory of lifelong Norwalk resident Donna Cutrone, as well for all those who have battled and in honor of all those battling pancreatic cancer. Teams are welcome and fundraising is encouraged. Awards are presented to top individual and team fundraisers! All proceeds and fundraising of this event goes towards our mission of helping families fighting and funding research towards pancreatic cancer.
